Reporting to the Specialty and Key Account Director, this position will develop and manage relationships with key accounts with a focus on the children’s gifting market. The position will represent products from Wild & Wolf and Petit Collage. This role will be based at the Wild & Wolf offices in Central Manhattan, New York.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage and grow existing US and Canadian specialty and key accounts.
Identify, pitch and develop new accounts.
Prepare monthly sales forecasts, customer tracking reports and budgets.
Exceed key account sales, margin and contribution targets quarterly.
Share key account strategy and product feedback with broader Wild & Wolf sales team and Petit Collage creative teams.
Attend relevant trade-shows.
Work with marketing team on the development and implementation of impactful trade marketing campaigns that drive revenue.
Work with operations and inventory management teams to ensure adequate inventory.
Work with creative team to inform the development of concepts and product ideas for key retailers.
Maintain awareness of competitor products, pricing and distribution.
Desired skills and experience:
4+ years experience in a sales role within the Children’s Toy, Publishing or Gifting field.
Experience selling and managing a portfolio of accounts
Experience identifying and developing new business.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
Self-motivated professional with ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task.
Ability to travel extensively within the US (up to 35% of time).

The Licensing Manager is an integral member of the New York team, and is responsible for the development and management of our current portfolio of licensed brands. This person will also research, negotiate and acquire potential new brands, as aligns with company strategy. The Licensing Manager will communicate our brand licensing strategy effectively to licensees and prospective licensees, prepare and deliver regular forecasts and business reviews, both internally and externally, and ensure all activity and brand representation is in alignment with our overall objectives and guidelines.
Brand champion – Become the authority on merchandise licensing industry across gifting & novelty categories. The ideal candidate will have a working understanding of deal structure, retail landscape, market potential and consumer insight and trends.
Strategic thinker – Work in conjunction with creative team and sales managers to develop a strategic licensing program, including identifying and assessing new licensing product opportunities and partners, anticipating roadblocks and proactively taking measures to address them.
Persuasive negotiator – Negotiate and review business terms and contracts, as needed for existing partners and as it applies to potential new acquisitions.
Research enthusiast – Stay on top of trends, potential opportunities and emerging brands that should be considered. A strong candidate should be able to open new doors, initiate dialogue pitch opportunities and bring meaningful opportunities to the company that align with overall business strategy.
Effective communicator – Will need to communicate overall strategy for each of our partners’ brands to team internally so these can be incorporated both into product development and sales efforts. Effectively deliver information back to Licensors with comfort and confidence as well. This role requires regular communication with Wild & Wolf offices in other territories around the globe as well. Must be able to communicate complex deals effectively.
Report gatekeeper – Ensure that contractual reports are delivered to Licensors on a timely basis and that all requested information is being provided. Assist with the compilation of data for both internal and external reporting, including sales forecasts, product development plans, and any other marketing updates.
Financial planning – Assist with annual budgeting, financial planning & development and implementation of strategic licensing plans to hit revenue targets, grow the licensing business & incremental revenue potential.
Brand manager – Liaise with current partners and teams to ensure we are maximizing each relationship to our best potential. Work closely with all internal departments to help navigate through any issues that may come about.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Qualified candidates will possess excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact well with work-groups and various personalities; leadership, strategic, and creative thinking skills; and have an entrepreneurial spirit, with positive, can-do attitude; and the ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with little supervision.
2-4 years related experience, previous experience in licensing or related field required.
Able to demonstrate excellent negotiation skills, deal interpretation and analysis, revenue/profit modeling and ultimate sound business judgment.
Strong MS Office computer skills, including excel spreadsheets, and experience with Powerpoint presentations.
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and presentation skills; must possess a proven ability to multi-task various projects in a fast paced environment.
Must be entrepreneurial, have a positive attitude and think proactively.
Willingness and ability to work on special projects as needed to meet business needs; function as a team member.
BS or BA Degree and/or equivalent working experience.
